Ransom

• Ransom- its the name of the main character in my favorite book ("perelandra" by c.s. lewis) in the book it has a really chill-giving meaning- also original- i love it!
• This is such a romantic sounding name for a boy,  if I had another, this would be his name.
• Ransom Tell: I found Ranson in a book and Tell my husband found in a book.

Ransom or Ransome is an English surname. It may be a contracted form of "Ranulf's son." It has occasionally been used as a first name, probably due to the surname and not to the fact that a "ransom" is "money paid to free a hostage."
