Rhys
- Very simple, yet there's a lot of strength and nobility in the one syllable.
- I'm a fan of Jonathan Rhys Meyers and John Rhys Davies. I also love the way this name sounds. I don't like Reese or Reece though.
- Very underused in the U.S. LOVE the Welsh spelling, gives it a bit more flavor than Reese.
- I like this because it's a unique spelling of a commonly used name, and because it's Welsh in origin, and so am I.
- I love stange ways of spelling common names (Reese). This is also old Welsh and they have some of the most beautiful names.
- Very smart and sophisticated! Masculine, too. Unusual, but not to weird in my opinion. Will work for boy and adult. The Reese/Reece spellings have become too feminine.
- Rhys Malcolm Gabriel
love Rhys, Malcolm is family, Gabriel is biblical
in Welsh, Rhys means "ardor; enthusiasm." It's difficult to pronounce this name correctly for English speakers, as the "rh" makes a sound not used in English; a kind of rolled "r" with a slight "h" in it. Hear it here: Rhys
