Roch

An Italian name, also translated sometimes as Rocco. You could probably pronounce it "rock" or else rhyming with "broke" if you so desired. I believe it to be the name of an ancient saint with some connection to animals.

Rocco is the Italian form of Roch, which is derived from Germanic hrok meaning "rest." It could also be a form of Racho, which in turn comes from the Germanic name Ragnobert, which is possibly made from the elements regin "advice" and beort meaning "bright."
