Sean
- This is a common name but I always thought it was approtiate for a boy and just sounds sweet and masculine.
- I was almost named Sean and believe it fits my personality better than my own name, Clint, does.
- A name that could represent anyone. A preppy, a gang member, a computer geek, a business executive...even a stripper. That's what I like about it. You don't know what your about to get. It's a surprise.
- sean (shorn): i like this name because it is irish and when written it has an accent over the "e"
- this is another one of my brother's names
- Sean/Shawn Patrick- I love both Sean's and am dividied between the spellings! In this case, I think the Sean spelling looks well with Patrick,
although Shawn is a delightful spelling as well. I have good aquaintances with many Sean's/Shawn's and that is basically why I am so attracted to this
name. Patrick, I love the looks of it as well as the sounds of it, just say it, Patrick, it shows so much masuclininity in it but yet is not at all hardcore.
Seán is an Irish Gaelic form of the name John. It is the direct translation of Jehanne, the form of John brought to Ireland by the Normans (modern French: Jean). Another Irish form of John is Eoin, which is straight from the Latin Iohannes.
