Sharlay
(shar-lay) sounds just like it looks This is my sister's and my parents made it up. I have NEVER heard of or met anyone else with this name. I thought maybe if people who are about to name their girls heard about it though, they might like it too. My parent's thought it was a nice variation on Charlotte and they thought since it is spelled the way it sounds it wouldn't get misspelled, but it does. Still, it has a very nice, soft sound but it doesn't sound too immature, it fits an adult as well as a child. Also, if your child ever goes into show business they could drop their last name and just use Sharlay, kinda like Cher.
