Sorcha

This is from a fantasy movie I really like. It's really pronounced Sor-ka but, I like Sor-sha. The character was a kinda warrior princess like. It also means bright which I like.

In Irish Gaelic, Sorcha is pronounced /SUR a kha/ (the "kh" like the German "ach"). In Scottish Gaelic, Sorcha is SORE kha. It means "bright; radiant." In the past it was often "translated" as Sarah, though the two names have no etymological connection. It's still found listed in baby name books as "the Irish form of Sarah" though.
