Taylor

Taylor comes from an English occupational surname for a tailor. It is used mainly for girls in the USA now, but before the 1980s, when surnames became popular for girls (like Madison, Mackenzie etc.), it was used mainly for boys. Its popularity for girls peaked in the mid 1990s, and it is now slowly waning from the top names lists for both sexes.
