Tesher

(TESH-er) I found this in "A World of Baby Names" by Teresa Norman, under the Jewish and Hebrew names. It means "gift". I like the idea of calling a boy Tesh for short, don't know why, just do. And unlike many boy's names that have the meaning gift or an element that means gift, such as Matthew or Nathaniel, it is not a name you are likely to hear every day in America, but not hard to pronounce or spell either. I also realized that if you take the letters in the name Tesher and scramble them a bit they can also spell Esther, so it might be a nice way to name a boy after Grandma Esther!
