Tikal
(TE-call) Tikal was an ancient Mayan city in what is now Guatemala. I actually heard this name first in a video game my brother and I used to play, though I don't remember which one it is now. I think it could be a lovely name for a girl.
Tikal (or Ti'kal) in Guatemala is a UNESCO World Heritage Site-- an archaeological site that was a major cultural, economic, political, and military center for the Mayans from about 200-900 AD. Tikal means 'place of voices' in Mayan, but was not the original name of the city; it was given in the 1800s when the site was re-discovered.
