As my husband and I tried to come up with non-traditional names for our unborn kid, we agreed on one name that we have decided could not be cooler or more "controversial" for either a boy or a girl. (Girl in our case) That name is "VEGAS". I think in spanish it means meadow, making it perhaps a little more feminine. I find myself surprised that no baby name book or search engine that I found has it listed at all. Although my sister tells me our Vegas is destined to become a stripper, I still think it more describes the exuberant, rockstar, glitter, and free spiritedness that is the city of Las Vegas.
