Veranda
(vah-Rann-dah) This is my daughters middle name. I think it's beautiful I named her this because it sounds like Vera which is my grandmothers name, its a great way to carry on a family while still having a modern sound.
Veranda or Verandah comes from Sanskrit words meaning "outside" and "inside a room" -- designating a room that is considered outside, but is still room-like. In English it is used to denote an open roofed gallery. It is sometimes used as an alternate word for "porch."
