knowledge is power!
So I’ve decided that I’m going to try to learn what the heck Techno/electronic music is, since I have absolutely no idea. I’m way more confused than anything now, since my resident techno aficionado (CreepyDan) sent me this link. Now I get to read things like:
IDM
aka “intelligent” “Dance” “Music”, artcore
This is the oddest named genre in the entire world, since it’s not easily deanceable, it’s not certifiably intelligent, it’s arguable as to whether it constitutes actual music…
So, it’s not exactly an unbiased site! However, I think I might have learned a thing or two, maybe. Whether or not I retain this knowledge is a whole other story.
