What was I complaining about? Oh yeah, about how much my day sucked. I not so much started whing to Patty and Krustee when guess what?
Yes! the electricity went out!
So, I called Patty on the cell phone and her line was consistently busy. I called Krustee, but his bumber seems to be no longer in service (maybe I have an old number?) So then I start thinking that maybe the Aliens have landed, and Boston is under invasion. I called Moth and we chatted for a while. I lit some candles in the kitchen and, like when I was a kid, warmed up by tacking a blanket across the kitchen door and turning the stove burners on (yay for gas stoves!). I was nice and cozy, and had some cereal for dinner for the 4th time this week.
Then, also like when I was kid, I took a bath to warm up because I was sick of sitting at the kitchen table with not really enough light to read (although I had fired up St. Martin, Ecce Homo Jesus, St. Jude, and a bunch of tea lights). Now illumination has returned. I’ll admit, I like it when the electricity goes out. I find it really exciting for some reason.
The heat seems to be back on as well–it’s definitely warmer in here. Maybe my bike will reappear, then everything will be smurfy again.
