I just want to say that there’s nothing like good fruit salad. Fruit salad may be one of the awesomest things on earth. I just made a nice big one, and am slobbering it all over my keyboard as I’m typing this. Thanks to Mrs. Vrabel, I know that fruit salad is awesome with walnuts sprinkled over it as well. Yummy!
Last night was really sticky, so I decided to cut my hair. Actually, because I lack the patience to cut my hair short in the back, I got out the hair buzzer and buzzed the back off. When it was almost too late I found that I really like the 1960s wedge haircut look, but… I had already messed up the back. Thus I dyed the front burgundy again, thinking maybe it would distract people from looking at how messed up the back is. Of course, it came out a very clownish shade of bright red. Yes, this is definitely not my best self-inflicted haircut effort.
In other news, I think I found out something important about my boyfriend. Jared’s dietary habits have been mystifying me for a while now– he’s a vegetarian who doesn’t like vegetables or tofu or cheese. Basically, there’s nothing I can cook for him that he will like. however, I made the discovery that his favorite kind of donut is the Strawberry Frosted. I think I’m onto something here– the strawberry frosted donut is the pastry of choice for little kids and retarded people. This I found out while working at Dunkin’ Donuts last summer. Little kids are attracted to its bright color and coating of sprinkles, which vary in color depending upon the season, or upcoming holidays. I guess that’s what initially attracts the retards, too. I came to refer to them as “the pink tard donuts” or sometimes “tardnuts,” although that term went places that I really didn’t want to venture.
It turns out the only other non-retarded grown up I know who favors these pink donuts is my former boss– also a scrawny, super cute nerdy guy who is a vegetarian that doesn’t like vegetables. I will have to quiz the other non-veggie liking veges I know about their donut habits. Is there a corollation? I need more scientific data!
