all I want is lovin’ you and MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC!

Finally. Finally I got the car stereo that Little Bitch gave me months ago hooked up. It cost me a grand total of $25– I probably could have just gotten some guy to put it in for that. Actually… I probably couldn’t have. I ordered the stereo-specific harness from the innernets for a whopping $5 (+ shipping), and got it into the car. I stuck all the wires into the plastic adaptor thing in the car in all the right places (I printed out a guide that told what all the wires in my car were), but they wouldn’t stay. It was really frustrating, because I turned on the stereo and it worked–the wires that I had scotch taped in place kept falling out. Thus I called Petey Pie and he informed me that I’d need ANOTHER harness, this one to connect to the one I had bought for the stereo to the one in the car. Holy crap! So, I made Jared come with me to Best Buy while I looked for one (I had to go to Target; Best Buy was out of the ones for my car). I had to splice the wires together with these little plastic caps with metal rings inside which require crimping to hold the wires in place. The only tool that Jared has is his Swiss army knife, which has a pair of really wimpy pliers. Now I have a giant blister on my thumb from smashing the metal ring closed with these pliers that probably wouldn’t pop a zit. But who cares, because now my car has MUSIC!

In other news, Guess who I hung out with yesterday? That’s right, my illustrious cousin Hannah. She’s a totally rad chick– she always has been, ever since she was a little kid (except for that House playing incident when she was 3, where she wanted to be the mother and the father and the baby and the cat, so I had to be the dog, but we can forgive that). We ate dinner at this vegan pizza shop that’s right next to Grasshopper, the vegan Chinese restaurant. I had a sandwich featuring “nugget.” It was actually pretty good!
