I be illin’ (again)
I have this weird pain thing. My gums hurt by one tooth, but the tooth itself doesn’t hurt at all. It’s the kind of thing like when you eat something really sharp, like those natural kettle baked potato chips, or a really tough cookie, or get a popcorn kernal stuck and scrape your gums and they hurt the next day. That’s what it was like 2 days ago. Today it’s sending searing jets of pain down the inside of my neck and up into my eardrum. The whole right side of my face feels tingly and irritated.
Aren’t you glad you know all that?
Argh, this is really annoying, and I’m not sure what to do about it. Do I see a dentist? A doctor? I don’t have either of those anymore, actually. I’ll have to look up new ones, I guess.
I feel ashamed if it is my teeth. I mean, good oral hygiene is the one thing about myself that I take great pride in! If I had any reason to have kids, it’s because I owe it to the human race to pass on my perfect teeth genes. It would just be embarassing if I had my first cavity now at the ripe old age of 34!
