Don’t joke with customers.
A 50-something businessy-looking gentleman bought 3 Annie Lennox CDs and the soundtrack to The Return of the King. I said, “one of these doesn’t belong!” and he looked alarmed and demanded, “why is that?!?” I tried to explain myself and he just looked confused. Then he explained how Return of the King was the only soundtrack in the Lord of the Rings trilogy that he didn’t have. OK, so sometimes making lame jokes completely doesn’t work.
Other than that…
Life’s well, life. It would be that you’re not allowed to cash in your retirement fund, even with penalties unless you leave the company. What you’re allowed to do is borrow against it up to 50%, as long as the amount is more than $1000. So do I take out a loan to pay off another loan? That sounds pretty lame, especially since there’s nowhere near $12,000 in my retirement account! I can’t even find out the information about that because the company got bought out by another company so all the info I got about the website is wrong. I tried to create an account with the new company to see stuff online, but after I registered I never got the confirmation email, and then the website froze up every time I tried to go to it. GREAT! I love modern technology. There are so many different ways to not get information now!
