SOME CAT (I’m looking at YOU, Jarvis) tried to sharpen his claws on my Darth Vader couch. I hope he got the shock of his life when it deflated. Alas. My poor Star Wars sofa– it was kind of small and useless, but it was awesome to look at. It even could be sat upon without too much discomfort in the rare occasion that every other chair in my Kitchving room was occupied. It was a good garage-sale find, but now… it’s lying in a really pathetic looking black heap on the floor. In former days I would have attmpted to find the hole and repair it, but I know that won’t work for very long, and well, I just don’t really care that much. Part of me is actually happy to reclaim that 2 feet of precious floor space.
Yesterday Athena and I took a road trip to Shrewsbury to one of the two stores left in the company that had this one Doctor Who action figure really cool thing that isn’t frivolous or anything. When we got to Shrewsbury, we discovered that we had gone to the wrong store; the one that we had meant to go to was Leominster. Luckly, Leominster isn’t that far from Shrewsbury, so we journeyed on… and somehow ended up on the wrong road going in the wrong direction, and almost made it to Connecticut before we realized the mistake. Oops! I was supposed to meet Saki at 7:30 to go see a kung fu movie, too. Unfortunately, I didn’t make it in time, and he had to work today, so I probably won’t get to spend any QT with him until, like, June. Oh well. The road trip was fun, anyway. I like road trips. I got to see a lot of the scenic vistas that make up the middle part of this state.
