The Celtics had better kick so much ass this year and become the Rulers of the Universe. By Celtics, I mean the basketball team, not the collective entity of Irish, Scottish, Welsh, Cornish, Breton and Manx people, although they can rule the universe too if they want.

I was re-merchandising the Celtics stuff at work yesterday and I cut the palm of my hand on a metal license plate frame. It freaking hurt! It’s a nice clean slice exactly in the place where you pick everything up, put everything down; the place that basically makes one’s hand be functional. Someone bought that bloody licence plate frame today, and I take that as an omen. As much as I don’t give a shit about sports, I do dig the Celtics, maybe just because Tanya gave me her shiny green jacket that makes homeless people compliment me so often. Maybe just because I like vast expanses of bright, kelly green. Maybe because… I don’t know. Basketball is one of the few sports on earth I can watch and actually understand and kind of get into.

So, Celtics, take my blood sacrifice and vanquish thine enemies! Or win the Stanley superbowling world series cup open or whatever basketball people win.

I actually saw TWO crocuses in bloom today– is spring springing? I can see the tops of daffodil and tulip leaves poking up out of the ground a tiny bit. Of course, it’s supposed to snow tomorrow, but whatever. Maybe it will warm up by June or so.
