Specialty Names

Perhaps you're tired of names in general. You want a name that's not necessarily a name; one that has meaning to you apart from being from the general name pool. Perhaps you'd like a name to reflect your hobbies and interests. Think about what you like to do--what is special to you? Have you read any books that influenced you? Is your job or hobby important enough in your life to memorialize in the name of a child? How about circumstances surrounding your child's birth or conception? For example, I once met a girl who was named Robin because she was born in the spring, and her mother heard the first robin of the season on the day she was born.

Many of the names on these lists are already in use as names (i.e. Rose, Dakota and Patience), but many are rare, if used at all. Blaze new trails and use unfamiliar ones, or make up your own!
