Acacia
- (uh-CASE-ee-uh).
In Greek mythology a god (dammit, I can't think of his name) loved a woman named Acacia, but she died, and where her blood spilled on the ground the god caused a tree to grow (the Acacia tree is still in existence), and thus her name symbolizes resurrection and immortality. I think that is exquisitely beautiful, and a child named Acacia could go by the nickname Casey.
- (uh-KAY-shah)...my little girl's name. It is a Coast Guard boat that was stationed in my husband's hometown. It is also a tree. I read somewhere once that the tree is a symbol of the Resurection.
- Acacia Solange (a-cay-zhia solange) I like this name because it flows so nicely and has a nice ring to it.
