Alexander

• There are several nickname possibilities, such as: Lex, Alex, Al, Andy, and Xander. It's a strong, powerful name. I'm reminded of Alexander the Great, for instance.
•  because it is a family name, and because it sounds strong to me.  Also, Alex is a nice modern sounding derivative and should be easy for people to spell  
• I like the name "Alexander" because it sounds strong and determined
• there isn't one in my family, although there are a lot of them, I still like it!

• It means protector of man which makes me think of strength, mentally as well as physically. It also sounds great as a middle name with a whole lot of names.
• Alexander Timothy - Alexander from an ancestor that came from Ireland in 1774 and Timothy after his father. An intelligent name and also a stubborn one too.
