Alyssa
- My name is Alyssa Marie and it sounds very feminine. The name itself means "rational" in Greek. I was named after actress Alyssa Milano. I do not like the way Alyssa is spelled like this: Elissa, Ilyssa, or Alissa. All of those names look like EE-lee-suh.
- I really love the name alyssa. It is beautiful, and I know plenty of little girls named alyssa who are angels and love their names. You should pick names more carefully.
- this is such a pretty name. it's my nickname (even though my name is heather). it sounds dainty and girlish, but not so prissy.
- I like the name "Alyssa" because not very many people have this name and its very pretty
- My name is AnLyss, I am named after a town in Switzerland (Lyss), to keep that tradition going I like Alyssa spelt this way and pronounced A-Lease-a.
- Alyssa Chloe: these mix well because Alyssa comes from the Alyssum flower and Chloe means blooming.
- Alyssa Nichole: because I think it sounds like such a beautiful, sensual flowing name and is soon going to be my daughters name
- Alyssa Paige: My daughters name, not too unique, but she (at 6) loves it! We use the nickname Aly and with the name Paige, everyone knows we enjoy reading!
- Alyssa Pearl: Pearl is my grandmother's name, so no matter which first name I pick for my first little girl, her middle name will be Pearl in honor of the greatest woman I have ever known. I could never name my child as a junior or juniorette. To me, that is like saying "Live up to these standards", or "You will be just like this person". I have a not so very unusual name, but i have been called names because of it, so I take great care to try to pick names people won't find a reason to pick on. I know, ""What about Pearl?" Well, hopefully my grandmother will be alive to show my daughter the wondrous and great love she showed me, and if not, I will make sure my little girl knows just how great her great-grandmother was. That way she will be proud to defend her middle name.
