Amandine
- This name was very popular in France in the 1980īs and is a little bit outdated there but here it would make a great alternative to the overused name Amanda, which I donīt like that much. It would also make a great middle name. It means "love, beloved" which is a beautiful meaning. I think it sounds very pretty, too.
- I like the name Amanda but with it's popularity on the rise, I wouldn't want to name a child it. My name is Charlotte and I haven't had many occasions when I have to go "Do you mean me?" and I would want one of my future daughters to have the same situation as me. I also picture some called Amandine as an intelligent, friendly, popular girl who knows where her priorities lie. Amandine is a great variation of Amanda. It is more modern but it's not too trendy.
