- (Pronounced Ayr-ee-AD-nee) So, by now everyone's heard of other Greek feminine names like Hermione and Daphne, but I have known of this name for years and have always wondered why it hasn't taken off. Its time in the sun may be coming, especially with the rise of similar sounding names such as Ariel, Arianne, Arianna and Adriana. I think this name is an undiscovered gem.
