Asher

• i've loved this name ever since i read " my name is asher lev"
• Biblical, I believe Hebrew meaning 'happy and blessed', which is a lovely name to bestow on any boy.  Sounds good on both a boy and a man, is strong but has a soft sound to it.  
• The first time I saw this name was when I watched Poke'mon and there was the shortened form of it: Ash. I actually disliked this name until I read a book in Language Arts entitled The Giver. He was Jonas' best friend and a very lively, happy, carefree person of whom everyone adored. I've loved the name ever since.
