Beckett
- I really want to honor my favorite college professor, Prof. Beckman, by naming a child after him. Beckman is nice, but I thought of an alternative... Beckett, which is great, and it doesn't have the word, "man" in it. Plus, Beck is a great nickname.
- Beckett Jackson: Beckett is a longer form of Beck, unusual, someone with creativity. Jackson is more...Old South? Sounds very charismatic to me.
The most famous bearer of this name is probably the Irish writer Samuel Beckett. It is of obscure origin; probably coming from a Norman place name.
