Carter

• Family name, as well as a great president!
• once baby-sat a little boy named Carter.  Big blue eyes, not afraid of anything, always getting into scrapes, it's all packed down into this name, but the name grows with the person, because I can picture him as a teenager, and even into his thirties.
• Gaelic name and family name.  also my favorite character on the  show ER
• there was a political sex scandal several years ago here (Australia) and the resulting child was named Carter, the first time I'd heard it. I kept it to myself because I'm a huge fan of the X Files and the creator of that (and my hero) is Chris Carter and I thought everyone would think I stupidly wanted it because of that. However I eventually mentioned it to my partner and my mother and they both really like it (and they usually nix anything I suggest) so I'm bloody well sticking with it!
