Elizabeth
- A good, old-fashioned name. Has 15 jillion nicknames you could use, like Betsy, Betty, Eliza, Beth, Liza…
- i know, this name has been popular forever, but theres a reason...its a great name!
- a lot of good nicknames can be derived from Elizabeth (my favorite is Lisa)
- An old one, but a favorite because of the sound and connections, such as Elizabeth Bennett in Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice.
- A very common name, but with infinite nickname possibilities, and I associate it with Elizabeth Bennett in Pride & Prejudice.
- Even though it's a very common name, Elizabeth I is my role model. So I love it anyways! =)
- another classic, strong yet feminine, has tons of nicknames, goes from childhood to adulthood with ease
- No matter how common it is, I still love Elizabeth- it’s so aristocratic and smart. I like the nicknames Liz and Libby too, and Lily.
although common, it's has a number of nicknames which can be customized to fit the personality of an individual
- this is a classic name. One can make so many nicknames out of this one name. for example: Libby, Beth, Lizzie, Ellie, Liza, etc. The name itself is also pretty, and it sounds good for a tiny girl, OR and older woman, and I think that is important.
- Elizabeth Antoinette: Elizabeth is the name of many strong women in my family. Antoinette is my Gramma Dorothy's middle name and it is powerful and has alot of heritage to it.
- Elizabeth Arianna (ah-ree-anna): I think the nickname Ellie would be the cutest! Plus this name just sounds like the name of a very strong woman who will go far in life.
- Elizabeth Caitlin: Elizabeth is my middle name and I think it is really special to have a part of yourself in your child's name
- Elizabeth Claire: simple and classic
- Elizabeth Gail: I like the name Elizabeth because it has more nicknames then any other name. I love the idea that my daughter could choose what she wants to go as. Even though the name is popular a child could still not have to be called Elizabeth S or anything because they could go by a differant nickname then the other Elizabeths. I like the nickname Lily the best because it's very feminine. I like Gail because it's my step-mother's name and I would like to honnor her. It's also flows very well.
- Elizabeth Layne: Elizabeth is the worlds' most timelessly beautiful name. it's my sister's middle name, and Layne is the name that I picked out (and named) for my youngest sister
