Élodie
- its french, you know. Beautiful sounding as well, so pretty!
- (AY-lo-dee) It's french for melody. I met a girl in Belgium with this name, and thought "How beautiful and rare." Such a nice ring to it.
Elodie is actually a French form of Elodia, a Spanish name derived from a Visigothic name made up of the elements "foreign" and "prosperity." It was really popular in France in the late 1980s.
