Hermione

• I think this name is beautiful, I found this name when reading the amazing Harry Potter books, and noticed it straight away. Hermione Granger is one of my favourite characters in the books, so I think it'd be an honour for anyone to have this name.
• her-MON-ee, HER-me-own, her-MY-nee, her-MY-OWN-nee I prefer the first to pronounciations of the name, and like this name because of the 'h' and the 'm' sounds. Also it was the name of Helen of Troy's daughter. And more recently a name from Harry Potter, but we'll over look that.
• Yeah, it IS a Harry Potter name, but before it was that, it is an old old old English name. Pronounced: Her-my-on-e.
• (Her-MY-oh-NEE) My top favorite... Classic, lovely, enchanting sound...JK Rowling wins points from me for choosing this name for Harry Potter's brainy, outspoken friend.
• Hermione Isabella: Hermione is a terrific Shakespearean name...and it has been around eons before Harry Potter.  I liked this name before the Harry Potter books even came out.  I love the soft sound of it (pronounced Her-my-uh-knee), even though it doesn't really have any good nick names.  But that's okay, because nick names aren't EXTREMELY important to me.  As for Isabella, I have just always loved this name and I've always thought it sounded very princess-like.  I wouldn't ever dream of using it as a first name though, because there are way too many Isabella's running around today.  As a middle name though, I think it works beautifully.
