I named my Daughter Kavi, pronounced like "Cuvvy" because it is Hindi and they have NO emphasis on any syllable, so the "a" is short and sounds like a "u." It means poet, if my understanding is correct, and it is shorter form of Kavita, meaning poetry. She is poetry in motion, nothing else could fit. Unusual, but not so in India.
