• this is my son's name and I think it is a beautiful, strong masculine name.
• The bible managed to churn out a whole slew of good boys names. this is one of them.
• because it's strong and simple.
• From the Greek meaning "light."  What a fantastic name.  Luke was a Gentile physician and his Gospel is so kind towards women, children and the downtrodden.  I love the idea of my child being a light of hope and grace in the world.
• Somehow a very strong name, yet brings to mind a tender, caring person.
• Biblical and very masculine. Makes you think of "Cool-hand Luke" or Luke Skywalker. Great name
• just cause I like the "k" or hard c sound/pronounciations
• I liked the sound of this classic-yet-unique name even before I finally saw Star Wars last year (which is now my favorite movie) and before my cousin was born in 1995, but now I like it even more with those two connections!
