• I really like this name because as trendy as it is, it's so cute sounding and addictive! And also, Maddie is a great nickname.
• Okay, so it's popular..but when we had our Maddy 6 years ago it wasn't.  We named her Madison because our son, who was two at the time asked to name her "Medicine", so it has special meaning!  That aside, I loved the old fashioned named "Maddy" (Maddie, Mattie) and wanted to put it with a newer name.  While Madison does bring to mind a well poised woman, Maddy brings to mind a little girl with dirt on her nose and a ready smile.
• This was the name of my mothers friend who was tragically killed in a car crash three and a half years ago. She was an amazing woman and I think her name is amazing too.
