Savannah

• What a beautiful name! When I think of it I see mountains and deserts. This name is not to overused and very unique. I love the middle name Brielle because this name is also unique and feminine.
• I also like place names, and I think this name is very graceful, and my favorite of the place names. 
• I love this name. I just think of it as a southern name and I love the south. And it isn't common. There is only one girl in my school with it. It's another pretty alternative to Sarah.
• a nice scene comes to mind when i say this name. The sun gleaming on the hot sand. A great name for a little girl.
• I was born and raised and still live in the urban South. I love it dearly. This name is as Southern as it gets without being "country" or "hickish".
• Savannah Blue:  Savannah itself is not that great, but combined with Blue, it kinda takes of a mystical sound.
• Savannah Carin: I like how the name flows. Its so beautiful, and i have liked since i was little.
• Savannah Ray: I am 14 weeks along and my husband and I have decided on Savannah Ray.
• Savannah Starr: I love this name because it makes a word picture. I can just imagine a grass plain at night with the stars glowing all bright. Beautiful!

This name came into public view with the 1982 film Savannah Smiles, about a little rich girl who runs away from home and ends up with two bumbling jailbreakers. Savannah rose to popularity with the popularity of other place names, like Dakota, Madison, etc.
