Scarlett
- Okay, I know it has the word "scar" in it, but the "lett" makes it sound so cute. It's arsty sounding. Old, yet new. I'm a big believer in having fun with the middle name(s), and this name sounds bright and fresh.
- have always been a big fan of Gone With the Wind and the character of Scarlett. She is a moving woman with many virtues. She is strong, elegant, beautiful and even turns out to be a caring, heartfelt individual. Scalett, the character, holds a lot of the virtues that I wish in my child, so the name would suit her well, I hope.
- My first experience with it was while reading "Gone With the Wind" and "Scarlett" but I fell in love with it when I realized that my g-mas name, Arlett, was inside the name. The name evokes strength and character yet is still feminine and uncommon. My favorite combos are Scarlett Caroline and Lucy Scarlett.
- Scarlett Hope
Scarlett, of course, was first used as a name in Margaret Mitchell's novel Gone With the Wind. Incidentally, Scarlett O'Hara, the book's protagonist's real name is Katie Scarlett O'Hara, Scarlett being her grandmother's maiden name.
