Talitha
- Pretty enough on its own, and somewhat exotic. The Aramaic word for little girl (used in the bible when Jesus raised a girl from the dead, saying, ‘talitha, qumi’, or ‘little girl, rise.’)
- Beautiful and unusual
Talitha is one of the few Aramaic words still used in the modern bible. In Mark 5:41, the phrase "talitha cumi" is used, which means "arise, little girl." Talitha means "little girl" in Aramaic, and has been used as a given name since at least the 1850s.
