Tamsin

• A derivative of Thomasina, Tamsin is just adorable.  It has an elfin, nature child feel to it.  
• Anyway my all time favorite girls name is Tamsin. I fell in love with it when I read Return of the Native by Thomas Hardy in high school. Since I've married an Englishman, I'd like the the child to be aware of her English heritage. Tamsin seems so English. I would call her Tamsie as her nickname.

Tamsin is an early Cornish pet form of Thomasine, a feminine form of Thomas. Thomas is from Greek, meaning "twin." Ironically, "Thomas" is about the only name in modern English usage that means "twin." What are you going to name the other twin?
