Tobias
- I love names that end in -ias (Elias etc.). It sounds very serious, but could also have an artistic streak. It's pretty rare, so people don't have a pre-conceived notion of what a Tobias is supposed to be like, yet it's not so weird that people are totally confounded by it. In short, a beautiful classic that should be used more!
- Means God is good. God sent his only son to die for our sins. God is good, what a way to honor him by giving your son a name that states that.
- (even better when pronounced To-Bee-us - the German way, although the English pronuncaitaion is nice, too) Old-fashioned but historical :-)
- I love the name Toby but Tobias sounds more foreign
- It's classical and masculine, as well as very versatile. Can be shortened to "Toby" for all the stuffy significant others who don't want such a name for their boy.
- Such a regal sounding name. Old and well used
Toby/Tobias: I think Toby sounds cute on a little boy, and handsome on a man.
