Troy (girl)

Troy Mattea: The first name comes from the city in America and the female character in Star Trek. I know it's considered as a man's name but I've thought of it as a woman's name since I heard of a soap actress called Troy Titus-Adams from a British soap called Eastenders. The middle name is a feminine version of Matthew that I thought was perfect.

Troi was the last name of the Enterprise's ship counsellor on Star Trek: The Next Generation. The original Troy was a city in Asia Minor, from where the famous Helen (whose face launched 1,000 ships) hailed from. As a name, Troy is an English surname, which comes from the Norman Troyes, a place in France.
