Una
- Means "unique"...simple, short, and beautiful
- Una Kathleen: I like Una because it is my grandmothers and not used a lot. Its simple, but pretty.
In Irish, Úna /OO na/ is a name that possibly derives from an old word meaning "lamb." In the past it has been anglicized Juno, Unity, Winifred, Winnie and Agnes, though it has no connection to those names. Many baby name books report that this name means "one." However, while a Latin word for one is indeed "una," the name has no connection to this. It is also found anglicized Oona and Oonagh.
