Vivian

• Beautiful and classic name, also not used that often.  I like it's meaning, "lively."  
• Another old, British sounding name no one uses any more. I think it is beautiful, elegant, sophisticated and it always reminds me of one of my favorite actresses, Vivien Leigh.

This is a French form of the Latin name Vivianus, which possibly means "alive." Traditionally, Vivian was the usual male form, while Vivienne was the female form. However, Vivian has been used for both sexes, although the spelling Vivien is more common for females.
