Xavier
- I've always liked this name because of brilliant mind I associate it with, Professor Charles Xavier of the X-men.
- Xavier Gaston: because this is the name my boyfriend has wanted to name a son ever since he can remember.
- My favorite boy's name is Xavier Jake. Xavier because I believe it to be a strong name and I can pronounce it in both English and French (my mother tongue). Jake because it's one syllable and doesn't take away from Xavier but adds a simple strong middle name to a much "fancier one".
- Xavier Lee: Xavier, the way it looks makes you think of a strong male warrior. Lee is a simple but a sweet middle name to tone down such a "loud" first name. This is my first pick for a boy's name.
Xavier (or the more modern form, Javier) was first given to Spanish-speaking boys in honor of St. Francis Xavier, a Spanish soldier who founded the order of Jesuits. St. Francis' name comes from Xavier Castle where he was born in Navarre, which comes from a Basque word meaning "new house."
