• Classic and beautiful, this name is not very popular.  It makes me think of an elegant movie star.

Though Audra means "storm" in Lithuanian, in English it is a variant of Audrey. It's been in use in the USA since the late 1880s, though it got suddenly more popular in the late 1960s, probably due to the introduction of the character of Audra Barkley played by Linda Evans on the television show The Big Valley.
