Audriana
(Au-dree-ah-na) This name is such a pretty name. I have always loved the name Audrey, but when it came to naming our daughter, my husband thought that sounded to "old" because he couldn't help but to think of Audrey Hepburn... so he suggested Adriana (with a long A sound, like in Adrienne) but I didn't want to give up the "Audrey" part..... so we compromised and named her Audriana.
The name Audrian(n)a has been regularly used in the USA since at least the early 1980s. It is a blending of Audrey + the -anna ending, influenced by the name Adriana. Audrian(n)a had major spikes in popularity in 1989 and 2007. The 1989 one was probably due to the popular soap opera Santa Barbara; Adriana (pronounced Audriana) was born and subsequently kidnapped that season.
