Eirica

Eirica Chantelle: because Eirica is the Scottish spelling of Erica and Chantelle is the French spelling of Chantel. Our family has both Nationalities in our bloodline.

Scotland, because of its close proximity to Scandinavia, has had a lot of intermingling of names over the centuries. However, the only reference I've found to Erica was that it was once used as an anglicization of the Scottish Gaelic name Oighrig, based alone on sound. Oighrig has also been "translated" as Euphemia, Effie, and Affrica, based solely on sound. Oighrig means "speckled" in Scottish Gaelic.
