| FOR REAL: Tracy started out as an English surname, a form of a Norman name meaning "from Thracius." It is also an Irish surname, an anglicizatino of Ó Treasaigh, which comes from the personal name Treasach, meaning "warlike." As a first name, it was originally used for boys.
